What are my chances of getting into San Diego State?

I am going to be applying soon for Fall 2016. My GPA is 4.08, my SAT (critical reading+math) is 1050 and my ACT composite score is 25. I am going to be retaking these tests next month. I didn’t study the first time and still got decent scores. The next time I am for sure going to study. My intended major is nursing. I am wondering since it is so hard to get accepted into the nursing program, what are my chances?

Calculate your CSU GPA: https://secure.csumentor.edu/planning/high_school/gpa_calculator.asp

Now calculate your Eligibility index (EI):
(CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math + CR) or (CSU GPA x200) + (ACT comp x10)

For Nursing, the higher the better.
An EI of 4300+ for SAT and 1100+ ACT should put in good standing for the nursing program. EI thresholds will fluctuate from year to year depending upon how competitive the applicant pool is for that year.

Good Luck.

Thank you!

Nursing is really selective at all CA publics. Look at Sac State, Sonoma, and Fresno - very good programs and a little easier to get into.

Good luck
