Anxiety has prevented me from being able to preform highly in grade school. I am an artist and a writer, and my dream is to attend SLC. I have never taken an AP course, and have only ever taken one honors class; that being English. I failed English and Math freshman year. I have a lot of extracurricular activities though. I studied German in Berlin for 3 months, where I lived with a host family, I am an active member of Junior State of America, Gay Straight Alliance and the Art Club. I am a mentor to a refugee, have volunteered at a farm, and also an organization in Brooklyn that broadcasts all-ages shows that are free of charge. I have helped a Syrian refugee learn German, and I am very very enthusiastic. I have had a rough life, and of course that doesn’t make up for my poor grades, but I am much more than my grades. Do you think SLC will see this? What can I do to prove to them that SLC is the school for me? Of course I know why SLC is the school for me, but I need to convey this to them; and perfectly.
sorry but you dont really have a chance, grades are important
Grades are important. If they really are as bad as you say, chances of you getting in are unlikely.
