So my freshman and sophomore year were not good at all! Grades were probably b's and c's.
However, This year, junior year, I was number 1 in Class ranking, and also the summer before junior year, I put in around 300 hrs of community service. I am in the IB program at my school, and all my teachers have told me that my essay writing skills are above and beyond! I am going to Ecuador for overseas volunteer work, this summer. My high school tennis team is really good, and i have been playing tennis since i was five! I am a state Champion but have not gone to nationals yet, so hypothetically speaking, if i do happen to win nationals in tennis and get perfect scores on my sat AND act, what are my chances of getting into Stanford? Assuming that i keep up with the good grades senior year.

What’s your gpa? Are you just assuming you’ll get perfect test scores or did you ace the psat or something?

As far as chances getting in goes, unless you get recruited for tennis then I would say it’s a major reach.

Yes, agree with Laeven. There are plenty of strong athletes that received mostly A’s their freshman and sophomore years, so Stanford is a reach for you unless you are already connecting with the coach and know they need more tennis players like you on their team. College coaches need to know your SAT and cumulative GPA, as well as course rigor, so don’t bother talking to them until you have that info.
