<p>So I'm wrapping up my Junior year at Brooklyn Tech (prestigious high school in NYC). With college aps around the corner, I can't help but freak out about my chances of getting into the schools of my choice.
I'm set on Buffalo. That is my first choice. I saw the campus, spoke to some people, and I know I love it. I even plan on doing early decision. However, with my not so good GPA, I'm worried about my chances of getting in.
GPA: 85
SAT: took in May and still waiting for results... I got in the 1800s on most practice tests though. If I do bad, I will retake it in October
Lots and lots of AP classes
AP World 1 and 2 for freshman and sophomore year: 85
AP Chem Sophomore year: 70
AP Bio Junior year: 85
AP Literature and Composition: 80
And I'm taking Organic Chem and Biotech Engineering next year (my school requires it) along wiht some AP History class.
So basically a pretty rigorous schedule, which will hopefully help me.</p>
<p>I have quite a few extra curriculars too. 150 volunteer hours, photography club, key club, NHS for 2 years, run my own site, and work for a online publication (write music reviews and take pictures of bands).</p>
<p>New Paltz is my second favorite college, so if not Buffalo, what are my chances with New Paltz?
Am I aiming too high?</p>
