what are my chances of getting in as a out of state student going into senior year with a 2.9 GPA unweighted and scores on AP/SAT/ACT of :
AP World history :2
AP US history: 2
AP Physics 1: 2
AP English and composition :2
SAT :1260
ACT: 27
any help would be appreciated such as recommendations to other schools or advice to get into this one because i would hate to have to switch as this is my top pick. Thank You
What is your class rank? A&M really doesn’t look at GPA, only rank.
Agreed… GPA won’t matter, all about rank. AP scores won’t count and not even sure they look at it. ACT is average for TAMU but SAT is low. For incoming freshmen this year ACT seemed to be 28 or higher with top 25%. I can’t remember average SAT score.
Take ACT again and again to better your chances. If not top 25% then chances are slim for review admit full admission based on last year. But hey, things change year to year.
