<p>I am an incoming high school senior and am beginning the rigorous application process at this time and I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with. As a junior, I took the SAT Reasoning test in December and scored an 1820 with 660 critical reading, 580 in math, and 600 in writing. In June, I took my two required SAT Subject tests in Biology and Math 2. I received a 760 in biology and a 740 in math 2. I also took the ACT in June and received a composite score of 30. I will be using my ACT score rather than my SAT Reasoning score to turn into colleges, but when I send in my scores, they will be able to see the SAT I took in December of last year. However, I hear rumors that the UCs prefer the SAT over the ACT? I plan on applying to UCI, UCSB, UCSD, UCLA and UC Berkley. I have participated in scouting for the past seven years and am currently the president of my venture crew. I also have been a board member on the Red Cross club at my school for the past two years and have staffed a Red Cross sponsored leadership camp for middle school students called Jr. LDC this past summer. I am also the Publicity for the National Honor Society Club at my high school. I played JV Badminton freshmen year after which, the sport was no longer considered a CIF sport because of the lack of participants required of it. I held a full time paying job the summer going into sophmore year as a dental assistant. During sophmore year i was a teacher assistant for a vietnamese level one language class that met each Sunday. I have a rigorous class schedule and will be taking four Advanced Placement classes next year and have already completed three AP classes in my previous year of high school. I plan on retaking the SAT Reasoning one last time in october. What are my chances of getting into the UCs?</p>
