What are my chances of getting into the University of Illinois UC?

Hi
So I’m a high school senior and want to apply to UIUC. The problem is that the subjects I have taken throughout high school are not that competitive. I came from another country to USA in 10th grade and took regular classes (the math, geometry, was super easy and I regret not taking higher level math). Junior year I took two honors classes, alg 2 honors and physics honors (got Bs in those) and senior year im taking ap chem, ap comp sceince, and pre calc honors.

So when I first came here, my gpa was really bad (2.6), and now it is a 3.47 . My ACT score is only a 22. If I get a 27+ will my chances be higher for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (Computer science and astronomy major) ? I have the right gpa range though. My first choice was College of Engineering (comp science major ) but the gpa and ACT scores are really high. Please give me some advice, I really want to go to this university for comp science and astronomy! Thank you!!!

I Just got in to the university with a 3.51 (I also had a bad GPA early in High School (2.9), but I also attend a college prep school. Additionally I received a 26 on the act which is not necessarily a “great” score for a highly regarded school, such as UIUC. Furthermore I applied into LAS. I suggest you stress on your extracurriculars because UIUC receives great kids from such a large range of applicants. The thing that makes kids stand out is what they do out of the classroom. I believe this is where I shined in the admission process. Good luck!

My GPA was also unweighted and I took two AP classes.
