Hi, I’m Kiley. Mary Washington is my first choice school, and going there would be a dream come true!
Currently, my GPA is a 3.2, my overall ACT score was a 22, and my 2 part SAT score was a 960, with my 3 part being a 1450.
I have lived in Virginia all my life, so I qualify for in state tuition.
Throughout high school, I have taken honors English classes all four years, ending with a B average each time. I’ve taken AP US History, finished with a B-, AP Environmental Science, finished with a B+, and I am currently in AP Government.
Not to be vain, but I feel like my essay was extremely well written, and I had my English teacher read over it. She said it was great!
According to my GPA, SAT/ACT scores, course load, and in state application, what do you feel my chances of getting in are? Answer honestly. I can take it!
It’s a match - your odds are 50/50 (and probably more because you have good course rigor for the college). Your ACT score is better than your SAT score so hopefully that’s what you submitted.

I think you’re good! I got in this year with EA, and although my stats were a little higher (More so in test scores), and I did have EC’s (piano for 12 years, going for my TKD black belt, Senate Page Program, Leadership at my TKD (student teaching in the program for 4-7 year olds, plus I was diagnosed with severe ADHD just after I applied-records were sent in to prove it) and I had a lot of medical shit. But I think I might have been a little over qualified (Not sure). Do you have any EC’s? Mary Washington likes students that ‘stand out’ (that’s where my EC’s helped a bunch).
And tell me if you get in-I enrolled for 2015 fall semester last night and I’d love to meet a future classmate ahead of time!
