Good day,

As the title of this post indicates, I am one of the many US Air Force Academy hopefuls. As Junior year comes to a close (and application time gets closer!), I simply wanted to gauge my chances of achieving my, as cliche as it sounds, life-long Academy goal. However, as all the pamphlets and testimonials and websites and documentaries in the world are only worth so much, I decided to seek more individualized advice. In turn, I've typed out, below, my roughly-accurate resume as of the end of Junior year. To clarify a few of the odd-ball notations, my GPA and class rank are only as of the end of sophomore year. For some reason, the guidance department at school is a little slow on getting anything more recent to us. Furthermore, next to each activity, award, et cetera, I've added the years in which I participated or earned such. For example, a '10' would indicate participation as a sophomore; any bracketed numbers denote anticipated participation. And finally, one last point of concern is that my district works on a seven-point grading scale; thus, any B's I've ever gotten would've been A's in most the rest of the country. Nevertheless, I recognize that a B is still a B.

Just some preliminary information about myself:
-male
-white
-meet all DoD health requirements (I've paged through them)
-from Charlotte, NC

Anyhow, without further a due, my resume is about such:

Academics (GPA and class rank are only, at this point, calculated through end of sophomore year):
-Class Rank: 16 out of 757 (it'll probably drop once the IB kids' killer GPAs are factored in. I anticipate, however, still being top 10%)
-GPA: 3.83 unweighted 4.88 weighted
-2090/ 1340 SAT: 680 reading, 660 math, 750 writing (I know the last bit is useless at the Academy)
-By the end of High School, I will have taken the following AP's (The letter after the colon indicates the grade I received for completed classes):
1. AP Human Geography: A
2. AP French: A
3. AP Calculus AB: A
