Hi, I'm new. So a bit about myself. I'm a high school junior, and although I am well above average in regards to grades/academics, I'm definitely not Ivy-league material. And that's perfectly fine with me. I don't have good chances of getting into ivy league schools because i am unable to do well in school while excelling in extracurriculars as well. hence, my question.

my major EC is band. i've been in band all throughout high school, and i'm not sure if i will be senior year, but i might. i play the clarinet (as you may have noticed from my username), and this year, because of some hand problem, i switched to percussion. i was the section leader in 10th grade and also this year for the first part of the year (for pep band season). i did a group performance in the solo/ensemble contest last year and got a superior rating. i've been awarded the director's award from my teacher. so, although i'm not as involved as some people, i'm more involved than your average joe.

however, that is my only extracurricular basically. i tried tennis in 9th grade and did some volunteering here and there to fulfill a requirement for a class, but that's about it. i get good grades - my gpa so far has been a 4.0 and it will be probably 3.95 this semester. i haven't taken the SATs yet but my psat score was 204 (hoping for the scholarship, but it's unlikely). i'm aiming for 2000+ on the SAT. i took honors LA and honors bio freshman year, honors LA last year, and AP lang, AP chem, and AP calc ab this year (idk how i'll do on the ap exams though..)

so i want to know what my chances are of getting into the UW (as an in-state student). the fact that i only have 1 EC concerns me, but it's either that or do poorly in school. btw thank you to whoever took the time to read this entire thing, hehe...
