Hi! I’m looking into getting an MFA in graphic design. I’m currently a senior in college. I believe I have a pretty good portfolio and a lot of connections who can write recommendation letters.
What are my chances with these stats?:
Double major:
B.A. in Interactive Media
B.A. in Graphic Design
Cumulative GPA: 3.87
Some of my experience:
-Graphic design internship for 6 months
-UI Art/3D Art internship for 6 months
-Made UI art, marketing, and 3D art for three published interactive games
-Freelance Graphic Designer for a few companies
-Peer tutored for 2 years in graphic design, English, and 3D modeling
-Teacher’s assistant for Web Development and Graphic Design
-Volunteered for at least 5 different STEM/media related teaching opportunities and events
Achievements:
-Won a national scholarship for students studying interactive media
-Two honors societies
-Dean’s list every semester
Top choices in order:
- Yale
- Rhode Island School of Design
- Boston University
4.Carnegie Mellon (I think it would be Master of Design since they don’t have MFA)
Thank you!
