Not even close to “all set.”
While he’s a good candidate, these programs are among the most competitive the country.
His chase of Admission is 10% or less.

You are on the right track and your ECs are great. It would help you if you got your SAT to 2200+ or the equivalent for the ACT. Those are all among the most competitive programs and they are all a low reach for you and anyone.

Pitt match/ low reach, rest are reaches, but I say you have a good chance. Maybe have an internship this summer with a local anesthesiologist and it could help.

All Ivies are reaches, rest are low reaches (7 year programs are competitive).

Does top 13% indicate you are outside of the top 10%? If so, that definitely hurts, unless your school produces tons of students that go to Ivy or other top colleges.

@TheToughGame Yes it does indicate that I am not currently in the top ten. However we have had many students go to top tier schools such as UPenn, Colombia, Notre Dame, UMich, Cornell, GTech, UPitt, PennState, and University of Chicago

Even if you do get accepted to those schools, you have to take undergrad studies first and apply to the med school program in late third or during fourth year of undergrad.

University of Pittsburgh (Perfect Match)

University of Pennsylvania

Brown University HIGH REACH(only because of acceptance rate. It’s all up to chance)

Northwestern University HIGH REACH(only because of acceptance rate. It’s all up to chance)

Duke University LOW REACH(only because of acceptance rate. It’s all up to chance, but you have a great shot)
Don’t stress you will get into one of them. It just depends which says yes.

Pittsburgh is definitely a match. For the others, they are basically a reach for everyone. You have the ability to get into Duke, NU, etc., but it comes down to luck a lot of the time. Good luck though!
