What are my chances of getting into these schools

I am going to be a senior in highschool right now and i am looking to do accounting and finanace during college.
I have a 3.7 GPA and a 29 ACT ( just took another one hoping to get a 30 ) i am in a few honors classes and next year i will be taking AP Physics B and AP Macroeconomy and AP Microeconomy. I am also going to take the AP spanish exam in my school to get credit for that.
I can both speak and write in spanish and english fluently ( dont know if that counts for anything )
I am Hispanic
I have about 15 hours of community service tutoring kids
I have worked during the school year as a Pool lifeguard for 2 years
I am currently in a summer internship also.
I am from Illinois

Im currently interested on going into
- University of Illinois - Urbana
- University of Wisconsin - Madison
- Indiana University - Bloomington
- The University of Iowa
- Marquette University

What are my chances of getting into these schools?
and tips would also be appreciated thanks!

You should be pretty competitive for IU. I know people going there who had lower scores/gpa and weren’t URMs (they were, however, in state students). I’m afraid I don’t know much about the other schools though. In general, depending on what your school offers, not having APs until senior year could hurt you.

thanks for the output! yeah since I am the first of my generation to go into college in the US I wasnt aware of half of these things. But better to do them now that not at all right?

I also live in Illinois and Inhave been researching all of these schools, great choices! I think that you will get in for sure at marquette, Indiana and Iowa unless you are going for direct admit into IU’s business school, that is very competitive at it is very good. U of I and Madison may be slight reaches, but I think you have a solid shot at both. U of I can be a little weird with their admissions however, so you never know! My only suggestion would be to maybe boost your extra curriculars as much as you can at this point. Good luck!

You seem like a good candidate for most of these schools. If you score a little higher on the ACT and maybe add some more volunteer hours and do well in your AP’s, I think you’re definitely in.

thanks for all the input, another thing i forgot to add is that my GPA has been rising every year. Freshman year is was a 3.2, sophmore it was a 3.7, and Junior year it was a 4.2. Im not sure if that is something to talk about or helps by showing improvement or what.

It definitely helps to some degree, it shows you are maturing and improving even as your classes are getting harder. When you sy your gpa was a 4.2, is that weighted?

yes by 4.2 i meant weighed GPA
