What are my chances of getting into these schools?

Hey everyone, I’ve just made my account here and was hoping you guys could give me your honest opinions.

I have only one extra curricular which was VP of french club freshman year, and I also held a part time job during junior and senior year.
3.0 GPA
1900 SAT

Also, I’m not sure if this changes anything but Freshman and Sophomore year I did my worst, D’s C’s and above. Junior and Senior year I got straight A’s. There is a very obvious upward trend, and I was wondering if that would benefit me at all. The reason for my sudden success is I stopped going to public school (social anxiety, depression) and started homeschool. One more thing! I have an opportunity to retake the SAT. Should I?

Here are the schools I’d like to apply to, I’m out of state for all of them.

Humboldt State University
Portland State University
University of Oregon
Chico State University

Thank you all so much for your help! I’m also applying to 2 art schools in California that are super easy to get into. Be completely honest with me, don’t feel bad.

Humboldt is a Match as long as meet the CSU a-g course requirements…

Congrats on the turnaround.

I am not as in-tune with OR schools but, my sense (based on GPA/SAT only) is Portland State would be happy to have you, UofO - probably not.

Your comment about Ds freshman and sophomore years could indicate trouble. For CSUs, You have to complete ALL the required classes with a C or better. If you re-took the class, you’ll be OK but, be sure you can check off all the a-g classes with a C or better: If you miss one - you don’t qualify for any school in the system. Here’s the list:

Also, Cal States look only at your Math and Reading SAT and calculate GPA in their own special way. of calculating your GPA - fortunately for you, they don’t include freshman grades… use this tool to calculate your CSU/UC GPA:

Chico could go either way Report back with your CSU GPA and SAT breakdown for more guidance.
