So I have a list of colleges that I'm considering applying to and I'm just unsure about my chances of actually getting accepted into them. I have 2 safety/target schools (UNC and NC State) and the rest are basically reach schools (Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, Emory, Vanderbilt, Washington University in St. Louis, U Penn, and Duke, which I'm applying ED).

SAT: 2230
Subject tests: Bio - 800, US history - 750, and retaking Math II (my math SAT score wasn't so great)
ACT: 34

GPA: unweighted- 4.0, weighted- 5.0

APs so far: Psych, Human Geography, English, US history, and Biology (all 5s except for a 4 in bio)
Taking 4 more senior year.

ECs: I won't go into a ton of detail but I'm president of National Honor society, secretary/treasurer of 2 other ones, and I co-founded a community service club. I'm captain of varsity tennis (which I've played for four years), volunteer with special olympics, and the hospital for 3 years, I compete in HOSA, and I tutor small kids.

Anyway, this college admissions stuff is pretty daunting. Am I good with 2 safety schools? And do I have a chance with any of the reach schools, obviously with some being a lot harder than others? Finally, how many schools total should I apply to?

Thanks in advance!!!
