What Are My Chances of Getting into U-M?

Hi, I recently applied to U-M up through EA and I'm anxiously waiting for my decision like many of you. What are my chances of being accepted? I have a 3.76 GPA, 24 ACT, a 1700 SAT, and a 4 on AP History. I am currently in a college level calc class, I have taken a total of 5 APs throughout high school, I wrote a meaningful essay and I have been in contact with my admissions officer. I am involved in the national honor society, and many volunteer organizations as well as many extra curricular activities. Keep calm, and GO BLUE!

The combination of your GPA and test scores would make Michigan a reach for you although I suspect some students are admitted with similar stats. I wish you the best of luck.

thank you! Do you believe that there is any possibility that they may overlook my test scores and admit me for everything else? I understand it is a very selective process but hopefully they can select me for the person I am.

Good Luck!

are you in-state?

I think the only thing really holding you back is your ACT score. I also think in state vs. out of state makes a difference.

If you are recruited athlete or a very talent musician, then you may still have a chance.

I am an out of state student, and I’m pretty sure I’m the first from my high school to apply

SAT’s will make it difficult

The standardized test scores are a little low for Michigan, but it’s good that you’re making a name for yourself with your admissions counselor.
