what are my chances of getting into uc davis?

Im a sophmore I will be a junior next year. I really want to go to uc davis but I dont know if I am good enough. Right now my GPA is a 3.4 and i plan on making it higher next year and plan on haing a 3.6 my senior year. As a freshman I did not take getting good grades in highschool to seriously and easily got a 2.8 withought trying. I haint taken the ACT yet but on my plan they estimated on the ACT i would have gotten a 24. But I am taking a act prep class this summer and i got 3 of the best ACT books i can find which im sure will help to improve my score and i know i wil atleast get a 26 but planning for a 30. I am trying to get into AP english I wont know untill closer to the end of this marking period. But if i do not get into any AP classes my Junior year i will defitley be taking two my senior year for sure. So far I have 42 volunteer hours, no sports, I am in drama club, and I was in the play The Odyssey. Next year I will be doing tenis, Drama club, probably a school play or two, and art club. Also this summer I will be working at DQ and probably doing more volunteer hours.
I know this is long but its super important to me! I will be crushed if I dont get into UC Davis!!!! So so far with my current gpa and acheiement does it sound like i have a good chance? And if iI score a 30 on the act and get a 3.6 GPA do you think that would be good enough? Also I am out of state how much does that affect my chances?
Any tips for getting into this college would great!! Thank you!

UC Davis does not take into account your freshman year. You’ll want an ACT of about 30 or 31 to have a shot, but higher is always better

mm I got accepted into UCD college of agriculture and environmental sciences as undeclared for fall 2013. I’m a Cali resident though, so it may be different

idk how you’d have to do on the ACT because i took the SAT, but in case you’re curious…

UC GPA: 3.86 (UCs i guess calculate their gpa differently)
SAT: 2030
SAT II math level 2: 630
SAT II US Hist: 670
SAT II Korean: 770

I took a total of 5 AP classes (ap environ sci, apush, ap psych, ap calc ab, ap microecon) in high school.

I was on jv swim for one year, was treasurer for LEO club (as well as a founding member for the club), was on polynesian dance club, and volunteered at church with elementary.
Honestly, I feel like all the extracurricular activities won’t help you much with UCs because they tend to focus less on ECs than private colleges do.

You might want to take note that my gpa was actually not on the high end for UC Davis either… I believe I’m around the average

here’s some 2010 stats (scroll all the way to the bottom to see for fall 2010)
<a href=“Institutional Research and Academic Planning | UCOP”>Institutional Research and Academic Planning | UCOP;

apparently % of students admitted fell from 44.5% (fall 2012) to 39.4% (fall 2013)

helpful link (gives admission stats for fall 2012), but since you’re not taking the SAT it might be somewhat useless too! haha goodluck!
