Hello,

I am a high school Senior in Illinois, who wants to apply to UC-Irvine. UC-Irvine is hard for any out-of-state student to get accepted so before I start my application and invest my time, I would like to know what my chances are. Please look at the following:

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
GPA (Weighted): 4.76 out of 5
Credits: 21.5
Number of AP classes (including Senior year): 10
Number of Honors classes (Only up to Junior year): 5
AP Test scores: Nothing lower than a 3
Growth during High School:
-Freshman Year: no Honors or AP classes
-Sophomore Year: 2 AP and 2 Honors
-Junior Year: 3 AP, 3 Honors
-Senior Year: 5 AP classes
ACT Score: 25 (I plan on taking it again in December)

Extracurriculars:
1. Congressional Debate (9-12)
-Leadership: Foreign Affairs Research Chair (10 and 11), Research Captain (12)
2. Speech Team (9-12)
3. National Honor Society (10-12)
-Leadership: Historian (12) and Executive board Member (12)
4. Took Chemistry 121 at a local community college (got a B)
5. Internship in a research facility (4-weeks)
6. Volunteer as a tutor to children who can't afford proper schooling or tuition. Did this through a webcam.(started in 10th grade and I am still doing it every Sunday)
7. Worked as financial helper/Organizer to a local company (started in 11th and I am still doing it)

I know it's kind of late in the application process but do you think it's really necessary for to take ACT again? And do you think I have a decent chance? If I do take the ACT again, what score do you think will be good enough to get into the school?
