help
i want to know my chances of being in ucf
i applied for fall in april (i know its late but i might reconsider spring)
my gpa is a 2.7 (all regular classes)

i know my sat is horrible with a 1320(overall)(810 cr &m) but my act tops it all with a composite of 25.
i have over 100 community service hours. wrote a good essay

please i need a response, this is my dream college

Honestly, with those stats, you really don’t have a very good chance for UCF. That is really like an extreme reach for you. Unless you retake the ACT and get a 30 or above, that GPA and the fact that you did not take any higher-level courses in high school does not prove to help your situation… Colleges prefer that you show through your high school transcript that you have done higher level course work and have succeeded… MAYBE if you bring up that ACT score or SAT score, and if your essay is absolutely dazzling, you may have a chance. But, your GPA is really not up to par with their average GPA for incoming freshmen, and their average ACT scores range from about 25-29. The 25 probably wouldn’t be very impressive, so I suggest retaking that test!
Good luck!

i understand this. but im hoping when colleges recalculate my gpa, it will be somewhere between a 2.8- 3.1 because i did great on my core courses but not so well on my high school electives(mostly c’s and d’s).
i also want to know what my chances would be,( if denied) and i appeal for spring term, and if they were to recalculate my GPA. im guessing it would be between. 3.0 - 3.5. because i focused this year.
