Also top 5 % of my class

I think you could easily get into both of these schools. You should look at schools that are better in the U.S. news rank because 50% of applicants get admitted to the schools you listed, which is pretty high. I recommend you look at schools like Northeastern, New York University, and other UC’s like Berkely and Los Angeles. They might not be automatics but you might be pleased if you get into them. Good Luck!

but isn’t my ACT score too low for those universities?

Yeah its low but other characteristics of your application make up for it; if you get it up you are definitely in, but how you are now is good enogh to get in. The two colleges you listed are no as hard as you thnik to get into than other top colleges. The other schools I listed are reaches, but I suggest you have a few of those, that way you strive for something. Ya your ACT is quite low for those universities, but if you bring it up and have a good interview, then you can make those universities also.

UCI: Safety (if full-pay)
Baylor: Safety

Try Bates or Bowdoin; they are the “reaches-for-anyone” of the test-optional world and they’re reachable since not many people from Oklahoma would even dare applying to Bates or Bowdoin.

thank you all :)

How about like UT Austin?

UT-Austin: Low match

Do I have any chance of Southern Methodist, UCSB, or even UCLA?

What are some safety, but still good, colleges I can apply to? Because, I’m afraid that most the colleges I’ve applied to are reach.
Thank you guys!

SMU: Match
UCSB: Match
UCLA: High match

Lola, what is your intended major/degree? That would help in finding other schools for you. Though I agree with some of the other posters, you should definitely have a few more “reach” schools on there. The ones you originally listed are certainly low match, if not even safeties.

well I have already applied to other universities such as USC and UT Austin too, but I feel like my ACT score is just ruining my chance of getting into those top notch universities!
I have chosen International Business as my first choice and Neuroscience or German as my second choice.

where else do you think I should apply?

Would I qualify for any scholarships?

You should with your credentials
