I am currently a junior and I really want to attend USC. What are my chances?
My current unweighted GPA is a 4.0. Weighted, it is about a 4.5. My SAT is a 2220, I'm not sure if I should retake?
I play varsity tennis and run varsity track.
My mom went to USC.
My extra curricular activities include playing the piano, flute, piccolo, learning the language Farsi, and playing tennis.
I started a club at my school this year, I am also part of a few other clubs.
I have been in the advanced high school band for sophomore and junior year, and in the intermediate band freshman year. I've also recently been involved in jazz band.
My freshman GPA was a 3.9 for both semesters (I got a B in PE, but other than that all A's)
My Sophomore GPA was a 4.14 (I took the only AP class offered, AP EURO), unweighted 4.0
I am a national merit finalist.
I have around 150 hours of CS.
Thanks for your help! Much appreciated.

I think you have a really good chance of getting into UCLA or USC.

:) Keep up the good work, maintain your grades, and write really good essays (such as the personal statements). Good luck!

I think you have a great shot at both schools. Great GPA and SAT score, + a legacy at USC will get you far ;)

if you are a california resident you should be able toe get into UCLA without too much trouble. if you are out of state, you will need to compete for the small number of out of state spots that they have available, but your stats are perfect, so you should do well. USC is private and if you are out of state, they can still give you a pretty equal chance for admission. USC probably depends a lot on the department you are trying to get into. for example the film department is brutally competitive for admission because it is so good. good luck.

You will get into both! I’m jealous -_- haha
