<p>Okay. So I have a 4.2 GPA but my SAT score is extremely low... 1390
I feel really discouraged of even applying now that I received my score. My goal was to get into UCI or UCR but I seriously don't think I will get into any UCs with that score.</p>
<p>You are obviously bright and have worked very hard. Apply anyhow and let them make the call. </p>
<p>There are hundreds of non UC schools in CA. Perhaps you should broaden your search. All the CSUs but SLO would be happy to have you. </p>
<p>If you have time, take the ACT - many students who struggle with the SAT do much better with the tests different format. </p>
