<p>Hi, </p>
<p>So I'm a transfer student and I would really like to know my chances of getting into UCSB. This is my dream school and although I applied to many other schools I'm really wishing to get into this one.</p>
<p>My Info:</p>
<p>Major: Film/Media Studies
-G.P.A 3.1 (was 3.5 but this semester I got 3 C's and an A)
-Done with both English classes and the one required math class. Will be done with IGETC by Spring.
-I've been in school since last Winter and will still take classes this Winter and spring. So this means I've only had 4 weeks out of school for this whole year.
-I'm an African American Female (I don't know if this really matters, but I don't think it's a a lot of African American girls in my major).
-I did a TAG but I got that letter that didn't explain anything about my TAG being approved.
-I did volunteer work with movie, music and TV award shows, also a few films. I also do volunteer work through my school. I worked lots of jobs was even manager of an AT&T store.
-My essays were really really good. I explained my situation in the third prompt, to why my grades at my first school (lbcc) were not so good.</p>
<p>My main worry is that my Fall grades are bad- A (in Mass Comm) C (in Foreign Film) C (Psych Critical Thinking) & C (in Stats). This was my last chance to prove to the school that I was making an improvement. Now when Fall grades are due I'm afraid it might affect any chance of me getting in. </p>
<p>any info will be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>Thank You & Merry Christmas. </p>
