Hello Grandpajoe I think you have a pretty decent chance at getting into UCSD. Although your gpa is lower than their average you should try to bump up your SATs to a 2200+ to secure a better chance. Your ECs are remarkable aswell.

Good luck

I think UCSD is a stretch given your GPA. I know a lot of kids with similar scores yet a higher GPA that did not get in :(. That doesn’t mean it is impossible but you’ll need a back up. How about UC Davis?

Is that GPA unweighted or weighted? If its unweighted, then you have a fairly high chance of getting into San Diego based on your ACT score. However, if its your weighted GPA, your chance of admittance will be smaller but you still have a shot so I would still apply but designate a backup school. Also, unless your majoring in engineering, I don’t think your SAT subject tests will count much towards admissions so I would focus on either retaking the ACT or SAT.
