What are my chances of getting into UF?

I know it’s quite early, but I’ve been curious about my chances of getting into UF for a while, and I’ve become even more anxious upon hearing rumors that UF was tightening up its requirements these following years.

I’m currently a Junior at an IB HS, and have a 3.7 unweighted GPA (which will most likely drop down to 3.65) and a 4.8 weighted. I didn’t study for my SAT so I got a 1340, but I plan on retaking it again later in the year.
As for clubs, I joined GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance), Student Government , and Bio Olympiad, though I never earned a leadership position.

Since I was part of the IB curriculum, I was required to do CAS which includes a CAS project. Though I have no completed my project, I will have spent several weeks planning and “teaching” elementary school students about the sciences by the end of the year. In addition, I participated in over 100+ community service hours during my Freshman and Sophomore year, and I plan on doing a lot more throughout my Junior year.

Anyways, here’s a brief course description of the classes I took:
9th Grade - AP World History, AP Human Geography, (everything else was honors/Pre-IB)
10th Grade - AP European History, AP English Language/Composition, AP Computer Science, IB Pre-Calculus (everything else was honors/Pre-IB, again).
11th Grade - IB Spanish 4, AP/IB Calculus AB, AP English Literature/Composition, AP US History, IB Biology SL, IB Chemistry SL.
Future 12th Grade Classes (Almost completely confirmed) - IB Spanish 5, AP/IB Calculus BC, IB English 4, IB Psychology SL, IB Biology HL, IB Physics SL.

The main issue I have that I fear will hurt my chances is the fact that my GPA and SAT are below average according to several people I’ve talked to, and that I haven’t shown any leadership through the clubs I joined. Also, I’m not sure how much class rank is valued at UF, but I’m currently 65th (weighted) in a class of around 120 (300 if you include Non-IB) because there are 40 or so students in my class with 5.0 GPAs.
Will my GPA/SAT and class rank really be an issue when applying, or am I set to be in the safety zone?

Are you in Florida?

Forgot to mention that most of my B’s will likely come from my Junior/Senior year. Will this be an issue since universities tend to focus on those years, or will they just consider the overall GPAs?

@JPGator98 Yes, I’m from Gainesville.

UF will not consider your senior level grades for admissions. It’s 9th thru 11th grade (plus college prep classes you may have taken in 8th grade). Focus on THIS years grades. They do like to see an upward trend, but I don’t know how much that would matter.

UF does consider rank, but it’s not as important as GPA,/class rigor (most important), the essay and even your test scores. They like to compare you against your peers in your high school. However, they likely accept a large number of students from your HS, so you’re likely fine, rank wise.

Keep your GPA up, improve your test scores and keep up on your EC’s and UF should be a match.

Good Luck!
