What are my chances of getting into UGA? I'm in desparate need of help/

Ok so my mom is set on me applying at UGA and I have no problem with that. The only thing is I think I have absolutely NO CHANCE at getting in. Mostly because my SAT scores. 1) I'm terrible at standardized test and 2) I was so tired.

SAT SCORES
Reading 490
Math 480
Writing 520

yea pretty embarrassing I know but what are my chances? And I'm also retaking them on Jan. 22 and these scores are over 1000 pt increase of my last scores and I was tired during both testing dates.

Btw it's my senior year and my unweighted gpa is a 3.3

I have had all honors since tenth grade yr, 4 AP classes(5 depending on my schedule this upcoming semester) NHS Society, Step Team, National English Society, YMCA volunteer(just started), and singing lessons every week. And I'm going to apply to the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. Yes I know not very impressive. But all those things take up a lot of time and so many times conflict.

And I'm African American. I'm just trying to list everything before I actually apply. I want to see if it's worth the shot.

Your scores are a little low for UGA. But there are plenty of other good colleges in Georgia that are a better fit, like Georgia Southern University and Georgia State University, where your stats are right in the middle of the average. Your GPA is on point for Georgia College and State University but your SAT scores are a little low.

Feel free to apply to UGA, but also have some backups such as the schools I suggested.

Being African American will help you a bit (UGA has been trying to increase its minority representation for years), but your GPA and SAT score are still very low by UGA standards. My oldest son was rejected with > 3.5 GPA from a top school and > 1150 SAT, and another son was rejected with a >1350 SAT (1950 including writing). So you definitely need some back-up options. Good luck.
