What are my chances of getting into UIUC, UMich, Northwestern, Purdue, GA Tech for Mech Eng?

I am an incoming senior.

GPA: Unweighted 3.78, Weighted 4.2

SAT: 1520 composite, 780 math, 740 critical reading and writing

ACT: 34 composite, 33 math, 36 science, 35 english, 32 reading

I take almost all honors and AP classes. I have received a score of 5 on AP Psychology, Music Theory, and Physics 1, and a score of 4 on US History.

I have participated in the concert band, marching band and several other music activities, including orchestra, pep band, pit orchestra, and honor bands.

I am planning to participate in science olympiad (physics-related events, like thermodynamics, optics, etc.) and VEX Robotics in the first semester of my senior year. In my application I will detail what I am studying and my progress in VEX, but I won’t have any accomplishments to boast at the time of submitting the application.

I am also tutoring Physics and math for my senior year, which I will be able to talk about on my application.

I will probably be at least a National Merit Semifinalist, but there is a chance I won’t be.

Thanks.

I think you have solid shots at most schools except Northwestern. They are a high reach for most people and you as well.

Fortunately, Purdue does Rolling Admission, so if you submit your application as soon as they start accepting apps, you will be near-guaranteed.
