Hey everybody! I know there have been several of these kinds of posts already, but I figured I'd go ahead and post one too.

To start off, I applied as a German Studies major regular decision.

I'm an out of state senior from SC. My current weighted GPA on the SC scale is 3.682, which means my UNWEIGHTED GPA on a 4.0 scale is about a 2.9 (but the weighted one will be higher since I take all honors and AP classes). My highest SAT scores are a 550 in writing, a 540 in reading, and a 610 in math. My highest ACT composite is 26. For AP exams, I got a 4 in Chem and Comp Sci.

I've gotten a few academic awards:

Certificates of Merit in 2009 and 2010 for perfect scores on the AATG National German Exam.
Award for highest overall average for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade years in my HS German dept.
Not an award, but I'm a member of my school's Nat. German Honor Society
Also Co-President of German Club

As far as extracurricular activities go, I have an okay list:

German Club all 4 years of HS and Co-President 12th
Serteen Club all 4 years of HS (connected with Sertoma club)
National German Honors Society 12th
Volunteer Service with the Mentally Handicapped 10th - 12th
Rec Baseball 9th - 11th

I got two of my teacher to write recommendations whom I knew would write excellent ones. I also know my counselor will write an excellent recommendation since I know her better than most of the students at me school.

Don't know if it's important, but here are my senior courses:

Advanced Comp H
AP Calc BC
Physics H
German IV H
Gov't/Econ H

So what do you think? Will I get in? Thanks for your help!
