What are my chances of getting into UMICH school of kinesiology or university of florida.

I have 3.65 GPA unweighted in a very good public high school in Connecticut. Weighted it is probably about 3.8-3.95. I got a 30 on my ACT. I also have a very high interest in sports and athletics. My extra curricular activities consist of
1. Tennis (high school, captain of a state champion and division team, usta tournaments, usta team tennis)
2. Buddy tennis which is helping disabled children to learn a sport and mostly have a good time
3. A couple of runs for diseases such as cancer, leukemia, athsma, etc.
4. Counselor in training at Nike Tennis camps
5.President of Korea club south (just a random club for fun)
6. I have a sports blog on facebook and a sports instagram page with over 3500 followers
7. 40 hours of community service in africa
8. Helped renovate an old history site in my town
9 Book Club

I still have a whole summer to add onto this list with many other athletic related things.

Florida is hard to get into OOS. UMich might accept you. Both have high OOS costs, UMich especially. Have your parents said that they will pay the costs of an OOS school?

I live in Florida and go to an extremely competitive college prep school. UF rejects 50% of our applicants every year (about 10% higher than the normal acceptance rate to the school) and it’s extremely difficult to get into out of state.
Your weighted at a 3.95 is under the average of a 4.2 for UF. Your ACT is on the high end though of the middle 50% of those accepted and your ECs are really good. The only thing that would hold you back would be:

 1. You’re an OOS applicant.
 2. GPA
 3. OOS applicant.

I wish you the best! And UF doesn’t use the common app so it is an extra essay/application you have to fill out.

money isnt an issue luckily @mom2collegekids‌
