What are my chances of getting into unc chapel hill?

I am currently an out of state resident and I am applying to UNC Chapel Hill for Early Action and I want to know what are my chances of getting in. I am a girl and Indian, but I don’t know if that will help me getting admitted.

Academics
GPA (unweighted): 3.67
ACT: 30
Honor Roll (A’s & B’s): 9th-11th grade

Paid internship at a hospital for one month prior to senior year. I observed surgeries, learned about different departments of a hospital, helped turn over beds, assisted patients, and cleaned surgical areas.
I have volunteered for an organization to promote Indian culture in my community for 13 years.
I have volunteered a total of 116 hours from 9th - 12th grade.
Included in those hours I have volunteered at a museum for 4 years for 100+ hours.
I have played volleyball for 6 years and was on varsity for 4 years.
I have taken dance classes for an Indian classical dance for 12 years.

Clubs:
I started a club (& Vice President) to promote women in journalism and media: 2 years
HOSA: 2 years
National English Honors Society: 2 years
Best Buddies: 1 year
Junior Beta: 3 years

Other:
I am a mentor to Freshman. I help them survive their freshmen year of high school: senior year
I help students with essays or presentations in my school’s writing center: senior year
I participated in a leadership workshop that helps young women become leaders in their community: sophomore year

My GPA maybe kinda low but during the end of my freshmen & sophomore year I started to get more B’s because everything was just really hard at that time. But in my junior year I only got 1 B and in my last semester I got straight A’s. So my grades have gotten better. Also I go to a really hard magnet school and its one of the best in the state. I have taken 10 AP/Dual enrollment courses throughout high school and I only take the hardest courses available so that is also why my GPA is a little low. And my essays (according to many people) are really good. And I am positive my rec letters will be good.

30 ACT + OOS + 3.67 GPA = Reject from UNC

I am also interested in applying to BU, UCLA, and Berkeley. Those are probably reach schools but I would just like to know. I am also applying to University of Indiana at Urbana Champaign, UGA, and UK. Thanks in advance!

I m also interested in Tulane and Ohio State

Reject - UCB and UCLA, BU - Possible, UIUC - Depends on major, UGA - Accept, UK - Accept

Also I am applying to BU, Berkeley, and UCLA. Those are kinda my reachish schools I think. But I am also considering UGA, UK, and Indiana University at Urbana Champaign. I am wondering if anyone could chance me for those schools please! Thank you in advance!

I am majoring in Biology with a premed track

Out of state=VERY VERY EXPENSIVE+VERY VERY VERY LOW CHANCE AT UCLA AND UCB, don’t bother wasting the application fee. Sorry to tell you the truth. Try for USC?

I believe that you can get into UNC, but like the others have said, the GPA is kind of low and decreases your chances at some of the UC’s. Yet, with some of those extracurriculars you may have a shot, so I wouldn’t be too pessimistic. If you take the next ACT (October 24th I think… I am doing that one) and are able to increase your score by 2/3 your chances increase. Best of luck!

I think you might be okay.

Keep in mind, the GPA and Test scores as well as your course selection are used to see that you are challenging yourself, and that you can handle the respective university’s academics and do well.

I’d really just focus on your essays. Someone with a 4.0 /2400 can really mess things up with a poor essay, no matter how smart they are. Colleges wanted to admit people who get involved. So show that personality in Your essays, and just hope for the best

UCLA, UCB, USC - high/reach

You’d probably have a good shot at UNC if you weren’t OOS. I know, it sucks :frowning:

Also could I get into Boston College? I just looked it up and my ACT is in the middle of their admitted students. And they really do look at application holistically. Idk about my GPA though. Can someone chance me for that?
