I am currently a sophomore at Lamar university pursuing a degree in Computer Science. I’ve failed two courses Biology 1406 and Precal II, but i retook both courses and got an A in both. Here at Lamar, once you retake a course the old grade is replaced with your new grade on your transcript and, that new grade will factor into my GPA, whereas the old grad will not. My current GPA: is a 3.37. However, when you are transferring that university looks at ALL the courses you’ve attempted. So they would factor the courses I’ve failed will factor into my GPA: and that will give me a 2.98 GPA going in. I noticed that not all of my courses i took will transfer over, so for the courses that do transfer into UH my GPA for those courses is a 3.12. So, i have three GPA’s (not literally). I believe that they will most likely be factored into my decision on whether i will admitted or not. 3.37 (Current) 2.98 (all courses attempted), and a 3.12 ( courses that transfer over). As of now, i have 34 transferable credit hours. Sorry if everything is confusing. But I would like to know what are my chances of getting in to the College of Natural Science and Mathematics (Computer Science department). Thanks!
Oh, by the way the University in which i applied for is the University of Houston.
Dude you are freaking Golden, because the requirements are a joke and not even nothing to worry about.
