<p>was wondering what my chances are to get into UW or UOregon.. My GPA is 3.4 and SAT score is around 1600. I don't have many volunteer work thing to show since i recently moved here but i did take part in a club at school and played varsity soccer for my school. i heard that UW really like people who come from different culture and im sure i would be able to help people learn a lot about my culture in UW.. I dont have many ap( only 2) subjects since i just moved and had to finish my graduation requirements first.. anyways i was wondering what my chances are to get into UW? and plus i am also a washington state resident.. Also what are my chances of getting into UOregon?? thanks everyone..</p>
<p>your gpa is quite low. (same with your SAT)
but i think you can get into university of oregon.
i applied UO last month as an international student and im already accepted by UO. ( my gpa is little bit higher than yours and i have SAT score higher than 1800). </p>
<p>I know that UW has higher standard but if you write strong essay, you might get in. and yes. UW likes to accept diverse students. i heard that about 30% of students are asian. pretty amazing. because you are washington state resident and UW probably accepts more students from Washington, you have some possibilities. </p>
<p>i think you should apply UW even though your gpa and SAT is lower than the standard, because you don’t really know that you are going to be accepted or not. </p>
