I have a 3.92 high school gpa, and a 3.97 running start gpa, which is college through high school.
I’ve done running start for 2 years now, and I also took 1 AP class, and 4 honors classes in high school.
I have been involved in tutoring in math, board member for key club and red cross club for 3 years, and also was part of national honor society, and a diversity club at my high school.
I just got my SAT score back and I really messed it up… I got 930. There is no way I can retake it because this is the last one UW will accept… I feel like I really ruined my chance. Is there any way I could still get in?
Well, 930 is a low score, but your extracurriculars look strong, and 3.97 is not bad at all. I’m not sure how holistic University of Washington’s evaluation process is, but with their average GPA being 3.78, and their acceptance rate about 55%, I don’t want to give you false hope or anything, but I’d say your odds are above that, even with your SAT score. Best of luck, and don’t stress!
You’re definitely below the 25th percentile mark which is an 1190. However, according to Big Future, UDub considers GPA, class rigor, and essays the most heavily, which you have. I’d apply to a backup. Is the school you got running start credit through a 4 year university? That might be a good option.
