What are my chances of getting into UPenn 2012??

-top 5% of my class (ranked 4)
-end of junior year 5.48 weighted gpa
-taken the most challenging classes available to me - 11 AP, the rest honors
-junior year ap scores - 4 on English lit and Calculus AB, 5 on US history and Bio
-president of mock trial, cheerleading captain, honor choir officer, several track&field awards, involved in several other extracurriculars
-weekly volunteer at an animal shelter since freshman year
-always attend academic summer programs - received college credits at a few
-2190 SAT - 680 reading, 740 math, 770 writing, 31 ACT (i wasnt planning on sending it)
-700+ SAT II bio and us history (i forget the exact scores) and around a 680 on english lit
-lived at penn last summer while interning at a nearby law firm
-live around philly, visit penn all the time - visited an english class, lots to talk about in my supplement essay
-application essays in general are pretty good - i'm a good writer, but my topic for the personal statement isnt anything amazing (i'm not that unique)
-i have a few honors/awards i'm listing but nothing extremely eye-catching
-letter of recommendation from freshman and junior year history teacher (ap) who is also mock trial coach - lots of good stuff in there, and also from junior year ap english teacher- penn alumni
-i'm white & agnostic (but i don't think i'll be filling out that part of the app since it probably won't help me)
-applying early decision, no legacy!
-looking to get into the college of arts and sciences to major in english and eventually go to law school

do i have a chanceeee? and if not, what can i do to better my chances, because i realllly love the school! if i get in i will die of happiness

123456bump

extremely low chances of entering the penn class of 2012, considering they’re juniors now

Assuming you’re graduating high school in 2012 and aiming for Penn class of 2016, I’d say your chances are pretty good. Try to work on your essay, though- if your school has a writing tutor that specifies in college essays, maybe submit your essay there and see what kind of comments you get. You seem really enthusiastic about Penn in particular- they’ll want to see that and they’ll appreciate that. I just visited and the admissions person said they look at academic rigor first, then everything else comes second. Good luck!

hey i just wanna know what my chances are, I wanna apply for the BS in economics programme to Wharton undergrad.
I’m an international student from India.Till 10th grade I was doing an indian board (ICSE) and scored a 95.4% ,always came 2 or 3rd in my class out of 45 students. currently I’m doing the IB international baccalaureate programme with the following subjects
Economics HL
Maths HL
Chemistry HL
English HL
Biology SL
Hindi SL
I’m doing very well in my school (mostly 7’s) but I don’t have a lot of extra curriculurs only guitar(grade 3) and elocution and speech and drama (grade 5) because we don’t have clubs and things like that in Indian schools
my SAT 1 score was 2140 (720 math/740CR/680writing) I’m going to retake it in October and my SAT 2 scores are 790 in chemistry and 770 in math level 2.
i will be applying to Wharton for early decision without financial aid. what chances do u think i have?
the schools im thinking of are NYU,UCberkely, cornell and wharton in addition to UK universities.
