Hi Guys,
I am currently a Junior in high school in Manhattan, New York. I had a 4.0 GPA freshman year, 3.9 GPA sophomore year, and 3.7 GPA for the first semester of Junior year. I have not taken the ACT yet but right now I am scoring 29 regular time. I, however, will receive 1.5 extra time in 2 weeks. With that extra time, my tutor projects my score to be a 32 or 33. At my old school for Freshman and Sophmore year, I was president of the Rube Goldberg club and Game Design club. I was also an editor of the Newspaper, a member of the Literary Magazine, Science Bowl, and Model UN. I was also a member of the track team. I had also given two TedX talks at that school, including being the opening Keynote at the last event. My new school, however, offers no clubs, sports, or APs. The reason being that it is for students with professional obligations. Right now I am a writer who’s stories have been featured in videos by YouTubers with over a million subscribers. The last summer, I was accepted to the Catapult ideas Entrepreneurship program and the summer before that, I was an assistant teacher at a Harlem summer charter school and a line cook at a gourmet vegan restaurant. That is basically all of the stuff I have done minus a few things. I was wondering if I need to do more things or increase my GPA to get in since I am an out of state student. By the way, I plan to apply to the Radio, Television, and Film program.
Thank you guys so much.
