PLEASE BE TRUTHFUL IN YOUR OPINIONS ON GETTING INTO UVa., I PLAN TO APPLY EARLY DECISION AS IT IS BY FAR MY NUMBER ONE CHOICE

No one wants to comment on "Expected" stats.

Its a reach dude. I dont like how the number of Honors dropped to 3 Junior year

Well, I got a "likely" letter from them a while ago and here are my stats:

GPA 3.91 / 4.73 weighted
SAT: 2270
SATII: Math 790 Bio 780 Phys 760

6APs completed, 4 on the way

Leadership in a few clubs

Now, if I'm a "likely," then that probably means a lower rate for most students.

Personally, if you do take those courses in senior year and get As and get a 2150, I think you're quite set, especially for early decision.

By the way, are you in-state or out-of-state because that makes a HUGE difference.

im out-of-state
and trust me i know the difference and i know my 3.84 (unweighted) is nothing to write home about...im a HUGE slacker... sooo i think ill really need to depend on the essays and SAT and ACT

i messed up gpa...
3.84 unweighted (4.3+ weighted)

dylin88- I'm curious about the "likely" letter. Is that based on ED or regular admission, and how does that happen?

Chaudoinker you seem to have all the answers to your own post. Why bother posting then? You seem to be a self-appointed college genious without our help.

i dont like you

Start your app now and turn it in early

im a junior, do applications change per year?

they change as in the date but they ask the same questions such as what is you fav. word etc. you can get it in the summer, but if i were as stuck on UVA as you are, I would go and look at the app essays and work on them like hell

Mater,

I applied regular decision. It's similar to the letter / verbal-agreement that recruited athletes get that say "Yea, we have a spot for you except we can't make it official yet"

umm....if u look around on the forums, someone had them posted and people from UVA confirmed that it means ur in

I don't think chaudoinker will have to worry about that. Why don't you explain the rejection process to him?
