Do you think I have a good chance of getting in, considering that I am instate?

Are you from NOVA or a different part of the state?

Yes, I’m from NOVA.

Okay so the good news for you is that UVA has a policy that 2/3 of applicants accepted have to be in-state applicants. Out of school applicants have to be more competitive to get in, in state applicants can be a little less competitive. Your academics and ECs look good, but if you are really set on getting into UVA try to raise your standardized tests scores. Going up to a 31 or 32 ACT could make a big difference, since the average UVA Act score is about a 30. Overall, you have a solid chance but obviously, there’s no guarantee.

Thanks for the reply. Should I take both the SAT and the ACT again, or should I just focus on one?

Anyone else?
