I'm from Virginia and I'm a senior in high school. My GPA is about a 2.88, not great, I know, but I've taken advanced English since 10th grade, including a Dual Enrollment program through my local community college. I've taken math up through pre-calculus, science up through physics, and five years of Spanish. In other words, I've always taken advanced classes. My SAT score was about 1610. I haven't really participated in sports through high school but I have been involved in 4 different clubs and worked a couple of jobs including one community service program. Also, I wrote a really good essay on the application. I really really REALLY want to get into this school but the average GPA for VCU freshmen last year was about 3.5 so of course I'm a bit concerned! Does anyone know how good my chances are with those stats?

you will prob get in. you got a good shot. every school has the exact same average gpa number of 3.5 or something, but it isnt important to pay attention to. if your scores match and your gpa is in range you got a good shot.
