What are my chances of getting into William and Mary?

Hello, I’m a freshman looking applying for fall 2018 (out of state)
My college GPA is alright at 3.63 (Private University)
My HS GPA was 3.8 UW (Private HS)
Standardized tests scores are not great 1030(SAT) 24(ACT)

What are my chances?

Transferring as a freshman they will look at your SAT score. Likely out of reach.

^I agree with Tom. The 25th percentile SAT score is 1340…I’m sorry to say you have a very slim chance. Just trying to be honest.

Got in with an 1150 sat score, don’t ever give up! I believe in you!!

I say you have a good chance. They will look at your SAT like other said since you are a freshmen. I didn’t do so great in HS but my first year of college was a 3.8 and I was taking challenging courses and got in!

@astyjnvdd Good luck! Congrats on your success in college. I don’t know the answer, but, like other schools, WM says high school info means less the farther you get away from it. Evaluation of high school grades/test scores is meant to project how a student will do in college. But once you’ve been to college, performance can be directly determined. So that makes sense.

Anyone else ?

I’m applying with a 3.83 College GPA and a 31 ACT. I hope we both get in!

Probably nil

@astyjnvdd The application deadline was March 1 and it is unclear from your post whether you actually applied or not. Like others, I think your chances for Fall 2018 are not good since you don’t have much of a college track record yet. You might be a better candidate for Fall 2019.
