<p>i'm from nyc and i go to a public school. my gpa is a 3.7(decent) and i only took the SATs once and got a 1710 (horrible =[ im working on it and no SATII as of right now.) im going to obviously retake the SATs and take SATII math lvl 1&2, bio and world history or us histoy im a junior and i taking only 2 aps this year (biology and us history.) i'm in nhs, almost every music program in my school, varsity soccer team and i work for ubuntu (the south african embassy in finland.) during the summer i plan to take a few college courses at nyu and volunteer at a hospital and next year i'm taking only 2 aps, calc and us history(it's a two year course)</p>

<p>Since you are from Africa and a URM, you should get in everywhere among these schools, though not at HYPS.</p>
