What are my chances of getting readmitted to the University of Maryland, College Park?

I was academically dismissed from UMD after receiving all F’s for 3 semesters. I was depressed at the time and didn’t leave my room. I left with a 1.314 GPA.

I submitted my reinstatement application last week, but I am very nervous because it will take me around 50 credits with good grades to bring my GPA up to a 2.0 and I know that the Student Success Office takes that into consideration.

After being dismissed, I took an MBTI and changed my course of study to Computer Science (formerly public health at UMD). At community college, I earned a 4.0 (for 5 classes) my first semester and a 3.47 (2 A’s and 1 B minus) my second semester all in computer science courses. I really enjoy coding and would love to pursue it.

Do you think I have more of a high or low chance of being reinstated? I haven’t been able to eat because I am so nervous. I find out the official decision around the end of May.

High chance, I also was dismissed from College Park for similar reasons (combined with the lack of any work ethic or seriousness) so I understand. I has initially applied to be readmitted in the fall but have looked to apply to other schools instead. From people I know and my own experience, you’re fine
