What are my chances of successfully transferring to UVA?

Hey guys! My name is Chris, and I am just about to start my Sophomore year at George Mason University. I visited UVA numerous times during my Freshman year and accidentally fell in love with it. I hope to transfer as a third year in the fall. I was hoping that someone could tell me how I'm doing!

High school:
3.35 GPA (moved around a lot, went to three different high schools so I had a bad high school career until senior year, where I earned a 3.95)
Extremely active member of Key Club (120+ hours of service)
Hospital volunteer (about 50 hrs in high school)
SAT scores: 1910 or somewhere thereabouts, I actually cannot remember, but it wasn't great

College:
Planning to declare major in English within the next few weeks
1st semester took 16 credits with a 3.52 GPA
2nd semester took 15 credits with a 3.93 GPA
Cumulative GPA = 3.72, and I hope to either keep it there or raise it during this next semester
Did more hospital volunteering, and plan to do it year-round this year
NCSC member
Dean's list both semesters
Invited to join Alpha Lambda Delta but declined
Worked part-time job, and plan to find a job this semester
also, I do plan to join more clubs and get more active this semester

I haven't got my letters of recommendation or transcripts ready yet, but I do have until March ;) I'm hoping that with a lot of improvement I'll have a chance to go somewhere that I really love :) Any thoughts/feedback/solidarity would be very much appreciated! Thanks for reading <3

If you keep up the grades, you have a shot.

Thanks for taking the time to respond! and thanks for giving me a little hope, I do appreciate it :)

anyone else? o:

Your chances seem good. Good grades, good ECs.

Make sure your LOR are solid as well.

Good luck!

Are you aware of the GUARANTEED Transfer Admission Agreement for UVA with the VA community College system? If you were attending a VA community college as a state resident you’d be guaranteed admission after sophomore year with a 3.4 GPA or better. I know you’d feel it is a downgrade to go to CC but it’s something to consider. I’d read the link and be sure you fit the qualifications CC students must have and give it a shot. 3.72 is pretty good. Good luck.
