I’m a sophomore at a private university with an 80% acceptance rate. I’m double majoring in marketing and psychology, my GPA is 3.95, I’m a representative in student government, I volunteer two or three times a month, I regularly participate in student activities, and I work full time as a server. I’ve been working ever since I was 15 so I could send myself to college. My family is extremely poor, my mom past away from cancer, and my dad is in prison (last time I heard; I don’t keep in contact) I consider myself a talented writer, so the essay part would be no problem. I’ve known that I wanted to transfer to a better school before I even started here, so since the beginning I’ve gotten to know my dean and professors pretty well, specifically for good recommendation letters. My SAT score was a 1700, but from what I’ve read scores aren’t as crucial for transfers. I’m applying within a couple of days so I can make the oct. 15 deadline. What are my chances of getting accepted for next semester?
