Should I apply to Cornell ED to help my admissions chances? I have taken AP Biology and U.S. History and got a 5 on both tests. My ACT score is a 33(equivalent to 2190 SAT). For APs I am currently taking (for senior year) Physics, Calculus, English, and Psychology. I have taken all honors/ap classes except for one class during high school. I am very involved in extracurriculars and volunteering and I will be a tennis captain this year. I am a female and plan on applying to the Cornell School of Engineering. I have a 4.23 weighted gpa on a 4.0 scale and my unweighted is probably around a 3.8. I got a 760 on the bio-e, 690 on math IIs, and 710 on US History sat IIs. I will not be needing financial aid. What do you think my chances will be with early decision or if I apply regular decision?

First off you have great stats and extracurriculars! everything seems good, generally ED will improve the chances of gaining admission but some argue that this is because most applicants who apply ED are the strongest. You have nothing to lose but if you do plan on doing so be diligent about it as you want to come out as the best possible applicant as you would have had you applied RD. Good luck, and you have great chances!

get out of our thread. this is for class 2016 not for hopeful 2017.
