Here are the schools I’m planning on applying to. I haven’t decided ED yet. I’m from CT.

UCSB, USC, Oxy, UMiami (FL), Emory, BC, BU, Northeastern, UMich, NYU, Elon, Wake Forest, Villanova, Vandy, SMU, W&M, W&L, Richmond, American U, GWU.

I know this is a lot, and they are very different but I actually liked them for different reasons. Wasn’t too picky with size and location, I just liked the vibe at some schools. Thank you for reading, and recommend ED1 ED2/EA’s!!

@contactivyready Thank you so much. But based purely on the stats I put up, do you think any of the schools I listed are definite safeties or super reach that I shouldn’t consider? Great to have an admissions staff member at such an elite school on here!!

Ill do the ones I know
Vandy, NYU, UMich - Reaches
Emory, BC, BU, USC, W&M - high matches
GWU, Richmond, UMiami - matches
Your ACT score is good but your gpa is kind of low for your reaches! Good luck!

You will need to read through the comments cause I got a 31 on ACT and I added some colleges (BostonU, UTAustin, Northeastern)

The UCs are public schools that are funded by state taxpayers. Out of state students do not receive much in financial aid. Your costs would be $55k per year. Can your parents afford to pay over $200k for your four years of education at a UC?

Your GPA would not be considered competitive as the UCs look at sophomore and junior years; they also limit how many APs can count towards your GPA (4 courses total) and do not weight honor courses the way your school may. Your ACT is okay but OOS students have higher scores.
Your ECs look good.

bump

What is you intended major? Do you know your approx. class rank?
Can you calculate your uwGPA in 4.0 max scale? Anyway, it is hard to evaluate GPA. Your ACT score is below the admission average for UMich and it is likely a reach for you from OOS.
