What are my chances? please help.

I am currently a freshman at Montclair State University and I want to transfer out to Rutgers New Brunswick in Fall 2009, but I don't think I will get accepted, because last year I was rejected. =[ I already applied, and sent out my Montclair transcript, now I am waiting upon a reply from Rutgers.

... but in the meanwhile what are my chances of getting in?

I went to a private high school and my GPA was an 81 [they did not do GPA on a 4.0 scale]
My SAT scores - [Math-600], [Writing-520], [Reading-420]
My 1st semester GPA from Montclair was a 3.0

I know my high school GPA and SAT scores are low, but I talked to a Rutgers Professor a couple of days ago, and he said that if you have a 3.0 GPA from a community college that you are guaranteed admission. I go to a university, so i don't know if that helps ...
I also know another girl who went to Montclair and transfered out/was accepted to Rutgers Newark, and she had a 2.7 GPA from Montclair.
Facts like these give me hope - but very little.

I just want other peoples opinions on if I will or will not be accepted to Rutgers
--OR--
if anyone has been in the same kind of situation as me and has made it, or knows of anyone.

Thank You All =]

maybe you've applied to the professional schools. The sas should be easy to get into. pharmacy, i heard dont accept transfers maybe one(people prolly applying college to college get accepted....this means a person within the school but not in the pharmacy school. I f you're trying out for nursing you need a 4.0 too & no admission guaranteed....business the least they accept is 3.2...i know a kid who got in but he was already in rutgers....(the college to college transfer thing) Engineering...is prolly tough too

bumpp this message

I agree with you.
You will most likely to get into Rutgers with undeclared major.
It is competitive to get into professional schools like College of Nursing, Pharmacy, and Engineering Programs.
You have to have at least 3.7 to get into three colleges.
