Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Asian
I'm the first person in my household to go to a four-year university in the USA.
GPA: 3.975 (UW) / ~4.6 (W)
Rank: 7/250 (top 5%)
SAT: 2010 (math 700, reading 630, writing 680, 9 on essay )
(On a side note, that was my first time taking it. I'm taking the next SAT to try to bump up my reading, and hopefully my math as well. It's actually REALLY high already compared to almost everyone in my senior class; maybe around 5 have something near a 2010.)

High School Classes

AP Biology - 5
AP English 3 (Language) - 5
The other core classes were all honors class that I took.

AP Calculus AB (two semester course)
AP Psychology
AP Government
AP English 4 (Literature)
Anatomy Honors
Medical Sciences 2 Honors
(These are my classes this year, so I don't have any AP results yet (obviously). Four weeks into the school year, and my lowest average is a 96.)

I have never gotten lower than a 97 on any of my core academic/honors/AP classes. Actually, the only grades I've gotten that were lower were 93s in a weight training class because the coach doesn't believe in near-perfect grades in a physical education class... If you take away those weight training classes, I'd have a perfect unweighted GPA.

Extra Curriculars (Mine is extremely weak; it worries me. However, there really aren't too many clubs offered at my school...)

HOSA Treasurer
HOSA Regional/State Competition Participant
National Honors Society
Beta Club
Manager for Varsity Basketball Team
Member of Track & Field team

Community Service/Other (This worries me too...)

~40 hours of job shadowing in 2011

Occasional volunteer at a local nursing home the past 6 years

School Nominee as a freshman for entrance into NC School of Science/Math

Nominee for Governor's School in 2010

Not sure if this was important, but I was invited to go to UNC Project Uplift, but I never went...

Honors/Awards

Hopefully when the year's over with, I'll be getting some sort of award from the AP collegeboard people. At my school, I've also gotten around 4 awards in the past 3 years for having the highest average in various core subjects.

I'm majoring in either Biology, Nursing, or something pre-med, if that helps any.
