-My lowest grade this year was an A
-My application essays are very strong
-I do lots of community work and I tutor non-profit
-I attached my photography portfolio
-I've played an instrument for 5 years
-I've won many academic awards
-I've played tennis for leisure for 4 years
-I'm good at interviewing and was well composed
-My SSAT score was 2181 (90%)
-I have a strong extracurricular recommendation

However
-My LA and math teachers don't like me, so I don't expect good recommendations
-I don't play any competitive sports
-I need financial aid

What are my chances?

bump… I really would like to know if I have a shot! Could you please take a minute to reply?

I think your stats are great first of all. Your SSAT is exactly on Exeter’s average, great grades, essays, interviews, etc…so thats all a plus. The only thing that is truly negative is the fact that the recs wont be great, because remember they are still a part of the whole app. The fact that you dont play many sports isn’t too bad. As long as you show them you really excel in the arts, you’ll be fine on that matter. I dont know about whether financial aid will hurt you or not. I’d say that you definitely have a shot at these schools, they are exclusive, but yes you seem like a strong applicant. Good Luck!!

hey not chancing because i don’t believe in them, but, i was wondering, did you submit an online or hardcopy portfolio? and how many photos did you include?

wow your good! check mone out…
