Other: My Freshman year gpa was a 2.3, it rose to a 4.1 by the end of junior year. This could either make or break me…

THANKS SO MUCH! =]

low reach - high match?

it’s hard to say. that jump from 2.3 to 4.1 is massive.

Are you saying I’m reaching too low with UC Davis? Because I honestly think I’d be lucky if I even got accepted here…

no, i’m saying you might be reaching a bit high.
it goes from highest reach to the lowest safety in terms of difficulty. eg high reach - reach - low reach - high match - etc.

Oh okay I get it… So do you have any advice on how I could increase my chances of getting accepted??

it also depends on what you are majoring in. if you are trying to get into a major under engineering, they would like to see higher science and math test scores.

the only thing you can change that would be significant would be your test scores. also, if you were wondering, your act score is generally perceived to be higher than your sat score.

i think you have a chance. just make sure the essays are good.
