What are my chances? (sort of)

I am currently a high school senior, and I am working on my application to Tufts. (A little late, I know) The more I learn about it, the more I want to go there, and the more I realize how under qualified I am. But here are my stats anyways:
• GPA: 3.9 unweighted
• SAT: W: 720 M: 540 CR:700 (I’ve only taken it once)
• SAT subject tests: I have not taken them yet. I’m registered to take biology, literature, and math 1 on January 23 (everyone keeps telling me that schools will accept January test scores, is this true? Also, do you think one of the math tests was easier than the other?)
• I have taken several AP/ IB classes, and I am testing in IB history, IB/AP English, and AP Calc.
• I received good recommendations from my counselor and two of my teachers.
Extracurricular:
• Horseback riding (hunt seat/ dressage)
• National Honor society (secretary)
• Symphonic Choir (audition is required)
• Art classes
Community service
• Algebra tutor
• Peer mentoring program
• Volunteering at an elementary school
• Volunteering at the local animal shelter
• I participate in other community service activities, these are just the ones I do regularly
Hobbies/interests
• Horseback riding
• Sailing
• Hiking
• Flying
Background
• White female
• $150 k annual income (no financial aid for me )
• From a small town in Alaska (regional diversity, anyone?)
• Public high school
I have a few questions:
• Would I have a better chance of getting in if I applied to the school of engineering? Engineering is actually what I'm interested in doing, and I read somewhere about schools trying to keep their gender ratios more even. (my math SAT score is really low…)
• Am I correct in thinking that there’s no way I can apply early decision? (I am on winter break right now)
• And finally, should I even bother applying?
Thanks for reading this, anyways!

Certainly your geographic diversity will help. ECs are VERY strong but probably not going to get you in on their own. Obviously if you could get that Math score up that would be good. (I am unaware of whether they accept january SATs/what their ED deadline is.) Your GPA is strong, but that Math score is pretty low for Tufts. I’d say you are a low reach. Chance me @ http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1055573-i-know-its-early-but-chances-junior.html

I would not apply to the school of engineering given your math score. Also the SATll math 2 would be the test they want to see for an engineering candidate.
